Where little boys sleep when it raining outside.

When we would not let him go out and push his mower in the rain. He did the next best thing. Laying down by the sliding glass door was as close as he was gong to get to the outdoors. Crazy where kids can fall asleep!

Easter and Conference

We've had so much fun these past few weeks. We got to listen to general conference, which is always a blessing, and then we got to party with the easter bunny the very next weekend! Our sweet little Sammy was so good to cooperate and "watch" (or let us watch) conference that we tried to play hard between sessions. These are just a few of the things we did to pass the time and enjoy eachother...

Jeremiah is busy teaching valuable lessons to our son! He'd better love climbing!

He has also been really excited to play the drums for us. He goes upstairs and calls our names until we both come up to watch him. You can all appreciate it too! Here's a sneek peek...

Our little drummer boy!

Easter was really great! We got to celebrate all weekend with all the family! We started the fun on Friday with my family. Grandma stuffed TONS of eggs and hid them in the back yard. We ate dinner and then let the kids loose. My niece and nephew got the brint of the goods because Sammy thought it was more fun to just be outside, running around. He didn't care to pick up the eggs, but he thought it was fun to throw them like balls. Not until he got inside and started opening them did he realize what this was about. He made out really well with his favorite cookies!

Gather eggs, or climb...CLIMB!

Or maybe a run...

There's stuff in these... (cookies)

It's even more fun to share!!

The next adventure was with Jeremiah's family on Saturday. We colored eggs, had a hunt (in the livng room because of the rain) and then all the kids got lots of treasures from grandma! They are so spoiled!!

Painting is great!

And Coloring...

Just let me get my oreo's, then I'll come look for eggs...

Are there cookies in here???

I got all this fun stuff, but where's more cookies... Grandma really spoiled him and he loves everything!

Easter morning was really fun too!! We put the easter basket out on the coffee table the night before. When Sammy woke up on easter morning, he seemed to remember that the easter bunny was going to come fill the basket with stuff. He was really anxious to get us up and go see. He was right! The easter bunny spoiled him too!! He even hid eggs for Sammy to find.

Can we do the puzzle...

This stuff is great!!

Here's an egg! Lets find more!!

After a wonderful day at church, we got to have an easter dinner at grandma's house to top it all off. All the children were dressed up so nice. We are so blessed to have this easter season to celebrate our Savior and the atonement for all of our sins. The Savior has blessed us with the gospel to show us the way to return to Him. I am grateful for the example he set for us to follow. We are also so very blessed with family to help us on the path back to our Heavenly Father and we love to spend time with all of them! We Love you all and wish you all a happy spring!

2 Years Old!

It's been a fun few months! We have been busy with work and working on the playing. Our latest adventure was Sammy's 2nd birthday! The Sunday before his birthday, we partied with my side of the family. Then on his birthday I took him to the Jordan river parkway to feed the ducks again this year. He took Grandma's mower with him this time. Later that day we partied like never before. Everyone was just wonderful to our little man and he had so much fun! He has been playing hard with all of his new things and loves them.

(I made two mater cakes. The first was a demented mater and the next one turned out great! What do you do...)

Our little girl is developing well and we are excited to be getting closer to meeting her! She has been constantly measuring a week earlier than her due date of June 12. We hope she comes soon too! (But not too soon).

Here are some pictures of Sammy's party and some other fun things.

The Bike Grandma gave him!!

Cars was the theme...

Thanks for the fun book Grandma!!

The best wrapped gift ever!!

Christmas and Snowshoeing in Millcreek Canyon

So it's been a while since we last posted! I think it's going to be one of my new years resolutions to update the blog once a month or so. I hope I can keep up with that. This Christmas was wonderful! We received so many wonderful gifts, but we still believe the best gift is to have family so close to celebrate and spend time with. Here are some pictures of all the fun we had this Christmas...

On New Years Day we woke up and went snowshoeing. This was the first time Sammy had been out to play in the snow. We were excited and anxious to see how he would do and he did GREAT!! He was smiling the entire time! We finally got some use out of our baby carrier pack. We were surprised he even wanted to ride, but he smiled every moment! He kept pointing to trees and saying "What's that" and showing us all the scenery. It's really fun to see the same old thing through new eyes.

When we got to the top, we stopped for a little snowball fight! Sammy joined right in! His uncle Colby handed him snowballs and he threw them as far as he could.

Back at the bottom of the trail, we stopped for a little bit of sledding. This was Sammy's favorite part!! He giggled the whole way down!! We all couldn't stop smiling! We hope the rest of the year continues just like today!!

Peanut Butter and Jelly

I thought that I would as a little humor to the site. This sound clip is hilarious. Brian Regan is a funny comedian. I think this is funny because it is all about something as simply as peanut butter and jelly and how lazy society can really be sometimes.

An update for the last couple months

I wanted to finally update the blog with all the stuff we've been doing, so the post is long. Hopefully we'll get better at keeping it up to date...
We have been busy these last couple months. We went on vacation with our family to Ouray Colorado. We had a blast and recommend it to everyone to try out. There's tons to do there; shopping, biking, hiking, climbing, swimming in hot springs, jeeping, and so much more! We went jeeping to Imogene pass with a guide and loved it!! Here's some highlight pictures...

Here is Jeremaih and Sammy at Box Canyon Falls. One of the most impressive waterfalls we have seen. It is well worth the travel to Ouray itself. It's an easy walk right to the falls too!!

Here is another waterfall within walking distance form our condo.

This was our jeep where we all were able to ride to the top of the pass.

Here we are among the wildflowers on our jeeping trip.

Overall, the best was just lounging on the deck, watching the hummingbirds! Always Sammy's favorite!

The Declaration of Independence

After our trip, we rested a few days, then went to see the "origional copy" of the Declaration of Independence. It was neat to be in the capitol for the first time since the renovation. Sammy and I went with Grandma and Grandpa Embley. It was a great day!!

This is the blown up copy of the Declaration.

The Zoo!!

Sammy got to go to the Zoo for the first time too!! We went with Grandma Embley, Aunt Julie, Daniel and Megan. We all had a great time! Sammy got to see the big birds up close and feed the ducks. He also got to ride a carasoul for the first time and ride another train. He just loved the animals. He was so exhausted at the end that he even fell asleep during the big cat show! What a day!

Grandma, Daniel, Me and Sammy riding the train. Juile took the picture and Megan was riding with her.

Here's Sammy on the carasoul. He really liked it. He wasn't sure what it really was at first but he loved the motion of it all!

The Fair

Here's Sammy saying "Quack, Quack" to the duck.

Our New Car

We got a new car too. We bought it on Sammy's 17 month birthday (August 19th) and got the licence plates on his 18 month birthday (September 19th). He loves to drive our car, as do we. It's a Ford Freestlye, 2005. It's an awsome car with 7 passenger seating (for our future large family and our current camping an vacationing needs). We have loved it!

Sammy's our cutest driver!!!

The new car!

Sammy's worn out!!
This was the first time he has fallen asleep in his highchair! He wasn't even done eating lunch!

Sam in his slumber!

He also found the ultimate car! I was washing dishes when he decided to remove the rack and take it for a spin! It was too cute to pass up the photo op.

The Embley Summer Party

This year we had a summer party instead of a Christmas party. It was lots of fun! Sammy loved running around at the stake park, but he especially liked the slide!!

(Video to come soon)

Last but not least...
Here's Sammy playing on our bed this morning. He is healthy and happy, and so are we. What more can we ask for. We are blessed beyond measure and lucky to have such great family and friends to share all this with. We love you all and hope you can all be healthy and happy too!!
